2008 Bugeye Ball
Calvert Marine Museum / October 18
The Bugeye Ball has been an annual Fund Raising event for the past eighteen years. This event has provided the Calvert Marine Museum with more than $150,000 in vital support of special projects. The 2007 Ball raised over $25,000 which will be used toward the restoration of the Cove Point Light House. Phase one, the restoration of the light tower is complete. The plans for phase two, restoration and renovation of the Keeper's House into a unique weekley rental property are already underway.

Annual Solomons Christmas Walk and Boat Light Parade
Solomons / December 5 & 6
Stroll through our candlelit streets and enjoy our holiday decorations. The Solomons Christmas Walk will be held from 6-9 p.m Friday December 5 and Saturday December 6. On Friday evening Santa will arrive on a fire truck to help with the annual lighting of the Christmas tree. Saturday morning will include breakfast with Santa at the Naughty Gull Restaurant , and the evening will be topped off with the beautiful Boat Light Parade organized by the Solomons Island Yacht Club.

Christmas Gala
Oyster Bay Club / December 7
The Solomons Business Association's Annual Coctail Gala and Silent Auction will be held at the Oyster Bay Club. Items to be auctioned are donated by local businesses as well as the food and drinks. The proceeds from this event benefit the SBA's funding of the Annual Christman Walk, Fourth of July fireworks and other SBA functions. Please join us! This event has been a tremendous success and promises to be enjoyed by all who attend.
